Our friends at Breaking Bands have lots to tell you, and there’s a cowboy theme. Eek
Merry Christmas announcements everyone! Firstly to the order of business regarding the festival nominations. We didn’t win the ‘best new festival’ at the UK Festival awards but at least we got to the final which wasn’t bad for year 1. This week to add to that we have been short listed in the TBFM Music Industry Awards for ‘Best Independent Festival’ alongside Bloodstock, Wildfire, SOS Fest and Hard Rock Hell. That is one hell of a group to be in.
Next up is a change in line-up. Due to unforseen circumstances, Black State Highway have had to pull out of the festival. We have been working tirelessly to make sure a replacement is of the highest quality and with such a great number of bands already on the line-up we decided to move ‘Welcome Back Delta’ into the sub headline spot for Sunday evening. With this news it also meant we needed to add another band. With so many on our backup list, this was just as difficult as the main line-up choices but we came to a decision to bring in Birmingham hard rock band ‘Silent Jack’. I am sure you will all give them a big bbfest welcome!
We also announce our full acoustic stage line-up. Joining Resin, Jesus Hooligan and Chris Appleton will be Craig Sheridan, Ben & Christina, Left For Red, Ian Bourne, A Tower Of Crows and of course, the legendary Mr Badaxe will no doubt be singing a dreadful tune or two!
So to the next piece of news… new website and new poster. This is one of the big additions and all because of the community group we have on Facebook. We are going to add a bit of fun to the 2016 festival in the way of a themed weekend and what better way than a Wild West theme. There was talk of us getting a rodeo bull which is now confirmed but we thought we’d go one better. Fancy dress is optional.
We will have more info on what is to come with the Wild West theme as the weeks go by but you can bet your bottom dollar it will be Wild! Remember, tickets are on sale now in the general store priced at just £30.00 for the whole weekend with free camping. Its a family event so under 14’s can come along free with a paying adult.
