Primed to be one of the most anticipated albums in metalcore this year, Foreign Hands announce the release of What’s Left Unsaid due out June 21st on SharpTone Records. Working with producer Will Putney (Knocked Loose, Vein.fm), the band have crafted ten songs of creative chaos that build off emotion. Acolytes of the early 2000s metalcore sound, the Delaware-and-Pennsylvania-bred band injects the style with a hardcore approach. Today, Foreign Hands share “God Under Fingernails,” a frenetic single with an equally intense music video. The song leans into the heavier side of their output swirling through pummeling drums, odd time signatures and a punishing breakdown. The video, directed and edited by Joshua Boerum-Ruhl moves at a high-speed blur as the band performs in a church. You can watch it HERE and stream “God Under Fingernails” HERE.
Speaking on what fans can expect from the album, the band states:
“‘What’s Left Unsaid’ feels like a culmination of everything we’ve done so far. There are lyrical and musical callbacks to all of our old material, as well as new elements we’ve never incorporated in our sound before. Working with Will helped us take these songs to the next level, and we’re all really proud of how they came out.”
What’s Left Unsaid is available for preorder now through SharpTone Records.
Foreign Hands head out on a North American tour with Better Lovers, Seeyouspacecowboy, and Greyhaven starting in mid-April. The band will also go to Japan for the first time this June to perform at Bloodaxe Festival in Tokyo. Full dates below.
Formed in 2016, Foreign Hands is composed of Tyler Norris (vocals), Jack Beatson (guitar/vocals), Gill Gonzalez (guitar), Chuck Minix (bass), and Tyler Washington (drums). Releasing a number of singles from 2017-2021, the band truly made their mark as one of metalcore’s must-know newcomers with the release of their EP Bleed The Dream (DAZE) in early 2022, earning praise from Revolver, BrooklynVegan, Stereogum, and more. Foreign Hands signed with SharpTone that same year and released Lucid Noise, consisting of two singles that showcased their penchant for writing feverish tracks with huge choruses. Since then, the band has been able to tour and share the stage with acts like Counterparts, Stick To Your Guns, The Acacia Strain, and Incendiary. Foreign Hands is coming forth with an elevated sonic output that is sure to make them mainstays in the world of metal and beyond.
