“The Razor” is frontman Jamie Lowe’s confrontation with emotional exhaustion and the necessity of ending what cannot be salvaged. Raw, unflinching, and deeply personal, the track distills relationship trauma into a stark philosophy: sometimes the kindest thing is to bury the past and move forward.
“From the moment I heard the music for this track, I knew this song was gonna be about some shit I had going on,” Jamie explains. “It’s about the assertion of never being emotionally backed into a corner again—having said all that needs to be said and everything being laid bare. I’ve used it as a coping mechanism when dealing with a rough time. Clear the decks, bury the past. Treat the death of that relationship as a release. Because if an animal bites, you have to put that fucker down.”

Feral Family are a Yorkshire post-punk trio consisting of Jamie Lowe (frontman/lyricist), Oscar Woods, and Regan Grimson.
