Epic metal dedicated to the fight against homophobia

Ruins of Elysium is an Epic Symphonic Metal band born from the will of Tenor Drake Chrisdensen in creating a heavy metal band which would rely solely on classical male voice, something rarely done on the scenario. Bringing together the grandeur of epic soundtracks, aggressive guitars and fast-paced drums, all embraced by the haunting opera vocals of Drake, Ruins of Elysium delivers an unique experience to symphonic metal fans.

On May 17th, International Day against Homophobia, Ruins of Elysium released their new studio work DAPHNE, touching on social issues like sexual prejudice, on the death-metal inspired song No You’re Not, and female empowerment, as seen in the epic 10 minutes long title track. Dedicated to all oppresed minorities in the world, Daphne brings Ruins of Elysium’s sound even further with a darker and more dramatic approach.”
