Noisy northerners with a new one in Feb

Northern noisy newcomers Gravves are poised to break out to the nation and have the perfect ammunition in the shape of their blistering new EP Rattle, which hits stores on Friday 10th February, through Loner Noise Records.

They say it’s a bit grim up north.Gravves hurl out a sound which superbly echoes this sentiment. The freshly-formed North West noise beasts have been reared on a hearty diet of The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, Future of the Left, and Queens of the StoneAge. Since their inception, the alternative rock unit have wasted no time in hitting the road and have already chalked up shows with Slaves, Nothing But Thieves, DZ Deathrays, God Damn, Heck and Misty Miller, as well as pinning down festival slots at Focus Wales, Tramlines and Threshold Festival.

Due to a series of high profile and energetic performances and airtime on BBC Radio and Amazing Radio, the band’s stock is beginning to rise, and now loaded with their debut EP entitled Rattle, national status beckons. The EP, recorded by Michael Whalley (Mums, Kong, Bipolar Sunshine), is a blistering piece of engulfing noisy rock. The full-frontal assault and aggressive beatings of the opening My Pet Rihanna swiftly bludgeon your senses into submission, and before you have time to catch a breath, the darkly drones of Heartbeats consume you, drawing you even further in. Their new single Tribes thrashes and pounds ferociously before dropping down a killer hook, and Hollow Bonesrounds off proceedings with its hypnotic grooves that contort and twist. With such an impressive debut offering in hand, Gravves are destined for a killer 2017.
