Last week we told you that Designs Of Chaos had overcome tragedy. Here’s the details of a very special gig

London based modern thrash machine, DESIGNS OF CHAOS will be unleashing their new three track EP The Darkest Storm in June. This monstrous three track EP was written and partially recorded in early 2014, but in June of that year the band were stopped in their tracks by the tragic passing of their drummer, Chris Crammond.

On June the 28th the band will be playing a special gig at the Barfly in Camden, to both launch The Darkest Storm and pay tribute to their fallen comrade. Joining Designs Of Chaos for this night of rebirth and reminiscing will be Forged In Black and One Fell Down, who have reformed for one night only to honour their much missed friend.

Designs Of Chaos have issued this statement regarding the gig and the loss of their drummer, friend and comrade in arms…

“After a tragic year, Designs of Chaos, lost our friend and brother, Chris Crammond.

“We have had a turbulent time, no one knew what the future held for DOC, let alone the members themselves. Looking hard in the mirror and realising that a legacy had been built, the foundation of which Chris was a huge part of. Chris was a fundamental part of the band, we shared friendship, a passion for heavy music and a love of what we do and the music we make.

“We are inviting you to help us launch our EP celebrating Chris’ legacy as the last thing Chris worked on we want to honour him. Join us; raise a glass or two to the man himself.

“Through the night, friends and family will be sharing words and memories they have of Chris. Prepare for some funny and touching stories.

“Our friends from Distorted (DJ’s Willow and Beefcake) will also be there spinning tracks through the night. This is going to be an emotional and hopefully joyful evening celebrating our dear friend. We hope you will join us.”
