The intensity of the production matches the message of the song, at least how I intended it to. I really hope to hear the fans singing along to this one like they do to ‘Downtown’, ‘Cowboy Sitting at the Bar’, or ‘Nothing on Us’.

Pennington’s journey to country music success is as eclectic as it is inspiring. Raised in a trailer park in East Nashville, Cody experienced humble beginnings where cheap guitars—and a family fond of music—became his main outlet. He taught himself to sing and play throughout high school and continued honing his craft during his enlistment in the US Air Force, booking and performing tours in countries such as Turkey, Greece, and the UK.
