GAMA BOMB in association with Route One Booking have today announced a nine date headlining tour in UK and Ireland, with support from HELLRIPPER, in celebration of their 20th anniversary as a band. The tour will get underway on July 15 in Plymouth, UK and culminate in two dates in Belfast, Northern Ireland and Dublin, Republic of Ireland. The headlining shows follow the Irish thrashers’ raucous November 2021 tour and last year’s politically charged Thunder Over London three-song EP.
Tickets to GAMA BOMB‘s 20th anniversary tour are on sale now.
Speaking on the tour announcement, Philly Byrne (vocals) comments: “It seems like only a few months ago that we got together to rehearse some Megadeth covers in Joe’s garage, but got stoned and decided we’d call ourselves Gama Bomb and write our own songs instead. Time flies when you’re having fun! This year marks our 20th birthday, and we’re in the mood to celebrate with the small but strongly-scented group of fans who’ve stuck with us all this time.
“Our 2021 UK tour was a huge surprise for us – the big crowds and support we felt was like returning to life after such a long break during the ‘rona – so our first thought when celebrating our 20th birthday was to head back there, and to finally play some shows back home in Ireland. We’re also stoked-slash-pumped to be touring with Hellripper, a genuinely important UK band who we’ve become pals with over the last year. It should be a real rockhaus of Satanic anarcho-speed socially-aware thrash!”
