Fletchers Farm in Great Ayton, Middlesbrough are delighted to announce their new Down in the Barn show.
Kicking off with a headline show from local boy done good Alistair Griffin on Sat October 22nd, the acoustic shows will feature some of the best live musicians from around the UK each month. Taking place in the barn below the café, the intimate barn setting will give live music fans the chance to see musicians up close in a unique and cosy setting on at the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors.
Supporting for Alistair Griffin will come from Saltburn songwriter Chris Gill and Stokesley artist Edward Le-Vine, backed by café owner Mark Fletcher.
Future shows will feature the likes of The Levellers Dan Donnelly, Martin Stephenson, Ian Prowse and many more.
Tickets are £10 and available via Eventbrite. Doors are 7pm and there will be a bar serving until 11pm.

Alistair Griffin
Championed by Bee Gee Robin Gibb, singer/songwriter Alistair Griffin was the runner-up of the second series of BBC talent show Fame Academy.
Born in Middlesbrough, Griffin began performing as a busker on the streets of York. He signed a publishing deal with Trevor Horn‘s company, Perfect Songs, and in 2003 he reached the live finals of the BBC’s Pop Idol, finishing second place behind Alex Parks.
In 2004, he signed a deal with UMTV, scored a number five single with “Bring It On,” and released his debut album of the same name, a mixture of original compositions and covers of tracks by John Lennon, The Calling and Bread. He received world-wide attention for his ode to footballer Middlesbrough FC forward Mark Viduka, and claimed a Top 40 hit when his track “Just Drive,” was used over footage of the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix. Griffin has also written songs for the likes of Phixx and Cascada.
In July 2012, he released his second solo album Albion Sky, on the label Dramatico Entertainment. Griffin also wrote “The Road”, the official song of the 2014 Tour de France.

Chris Gill
Saltburn Singer Song Writer Chris Gill is an artist with a musical style that certainly stands out.
Through seeking out local producer John Taylor, owner of Mirage Studios, in 2020 he released his debut album “Into The Light’ which featured songs he wrote during both happy and difficult times. The album had several tracks that were broadcast on BBC TEES Introducing amongst other radio stations too. Following the success of his album, in 2021 Chris released three new singles – “Collide”, “Tonight”, and “The Cure”.
After several years of exploring the live music scene he began to Song-write, in his own words he says – “If you can take something very deep and personal, and turn it into a song, then you know there’s always going to be someone out there who has experienced the same thing”.
