Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the signing of Tarmat, an exciting new AOR/Melodic Rock act from Niterói, Brazil who incorporate a different slant on traditional AOR into their sound. A first taste of their style can be heard today with the release of a single and video for a song entitled ‘Backbone Feeling’, with their debut album to follow in late 2022.
Alexandre Daumerie (vocals), Eduardo Marcolino (guitars), Gabriel Aquino (keyboards) and José Marcus (bass) formed Tarmat in mid-2020, having all played together in hard rock bands previously. Marcolino and Aquino also perform in the instrumental progressive rock band Anxtron.
With a clear yet fresh nod to the ’80s, Tarmat’s music is influenced by artists from across the rock spectrum, including Journey, Boston, Europe, Simply Red, Christopher Cross, Van Halen, Toto and Queen.
