BAND OF THE DAY: CRASHFACE

Published:

London based duo CRASHFACE come out swinging with their second release of the year, ‘COLD‘. The London duo boast DOOMesque instrumentals with vocal hooks galore, making up the self proclaimed “jealousy anthem”. This comes off the back of their February release ‘Molotov Smile‘, that picked up a hyped radio debut on the Radio 1 Rock Show with Daniel P. Carter.

“Everyone gets jealous, it’s just a fact, so this track is all about embracing that sour taste rather than just trying to dismiss it,” says frontman Charlie Hinton. It’s ultimately saying, ‘I may be jealous at times, I may be cynical, but fuck it that’s what makes me, me.’ It’s about learning to grow from that jealousy.”

The music video compliments the stomping tune, showing off the duo’s bratty performance in a trippy but elegant office space. Combined with a bath full of green slime, there’s not a dull moment between Otto’s reluctant bass playing and Charlie scaling every piece of furniture in sight. Directed by Jessie Rose and edited by Charlie himself, the video is a perfect embodiment of the short, sour suckerpunch that is ‘COLD‘.

Look out for further releases from CRASHFACE this summer.

The band will play a headline show at The Grace in London on 27th November – tickets are available from https://fatso.ma/Uueo.
