Ascending Brit easycore crew A NEW HOPE have unveiled their ultra-hooky new single, The Triggering, out now via all platforms. The tuneful riff merchants have also dropped a video for the track, here – .

Formed in 2017 and coming at you from the quaint market towns of Newbury and Hereford, A NEW HOPE are in contrast to their tranquil origins. The lively six-piece were created with one true goal: to pen and perform catchy as hell pop-punk music that is upbeat, invigorating, and laced with down-tuned riffery. Upon hearing A NEW HOPE, you will soon discover that the animated tunesters have more than fulfilled their manifesto.

Reared on a diet of A Day To Remember, Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!, Issues, Four Year Strong, and Star Wars movies, A NEW HOPE soon chiselled out a sound of their own while embracing their influences. After much time spent in the rehearsal room fine-tuning their set, the feisty upstarts began to hit the road in support of their self-titled debut EP. Along the way, the band supported the likes of Abandoned By Bears, Why Everyone Left, and InVisions. A NEW HOPE also dropped a new single to follow the EP, entitled, Purple Drank; the track received warm praise from many quarters, with the video being premiered by Discovered Magazine.

The stage is now set for the band to break out to the masses. With a new EP on the horizon (mixed by Bertrand Poncet from Chunk! No, Captain Chunk) and with the release of their dynamic new single, The Triggering, the band’s reach is limitless. Guitarist, Ben Mercer-Starr talks about the track: “When we wrote The Triggering, it was a conscious effort to explore the more serious side of our sound. Beneath the initial upbeat exterior, the track deals with the issue of mental health. The video follows the same theme, with a metaphoric representation of depression and procrastination.”. A NEW HOPE will play a series of shows throughout the winter and are set to announce details of their new EP very soon. Stay tuned to their socials for updates.  |  |
