Jakob Arvidsson, mostly known as the singer and vocalist of punk outfit Rotten Mind, has once again teamed up with Lövey Records. This time, the two has joined forces to release an album with Jakob‘s newly established solo project, entitled Jakob Mind.
On April 16, 2021, his debut album “The One Who Got Away” will be out on digital and vinyl format. Containing 10 track ranging from straight- forward punk to Roky Erickson- inspired rock and post-punk infused alternative. The sound and energy of the songs are easily recognizable for a fan of Rotten Mind, while they show a new side of Jakob‘s songwriting abilities and inspirations.
The fourth and final single leading up to “The One Who Got Away” is called “7 Days”. The track was originally released as a roughly mixed Soundcloud demo back in spring 2020, which marked the starting point of Jakob’s new solo project. Jakob describes the meaning behind the track:
“7 Days is about touring. I have a hate/love relationship to touring. It‘s hard to be away from loved ones but at the same time it‘s the one thing I want to do.”
“7 Days” has now been mixed and mastered and is released as a digital single on March 12 via Lövely Records.
