Tour starts next week
Vantaa Finland’s heavy metal champions FREEDOMINATION are ready to commence a mini-tour of their native grounds, supporting Sweden’s STEELWING. With Finland’s native scene awash with bands exemplifying modern plasticity or retro-worship, FREEDOMINATION retaliate against trends with honest and energized heavy metal, offering a much-needed revitalization to the Nordic underground!
Under the vision of mastermind Timo Ahlström (HORRORFEAST, KILJUVELKA-70, etc.), FREEDOMINATION have been delivering honest, inspired, thrashing metal with no compromises, limitations, or pretense since 2008. They earned early recognition after being chosen as “Band of the Month” in Finland’s Inferno Magazine, and having ANNIHILATOR’s Jeff Waters contribute a solo on “Hide Your Self.” And with 2015’s The Stand, the band showcases their keen sense of melody, speed metal intensity, and playful shredding. Add to that the versatile vocal delivery, occasionally spiced with old-school falsettos, and you have a band who unfailingly delivers.
With dozens of gigs in southern Finland under their belts and many more in the pipeline, FREEDOMINATION are poised and ready to take their stand and disperse their energy on stages across the globe.

Headlining the tour is the Post-apocalyptic Heavy/Speed Metal onslaught of vocal acrobatics and synchronized twin-guitar blitzkrieg known simply as STEELWING! In support of their long-anticipated third full-length Reset, Reboot, Redeem, NoiseArt recording artists STEELWING return to Finland for the first time since their 2010 tour with SABATON. Their newest effort, released in November 2015, can also be thought of as a second-coming; leaving behind some of their more polished and hit-oriented material, these Swedes are turning heads once again, presenting a darker, dirtier direction for their dystopic diatribes.
Winning the 2009 Rock the Nation Award and securing a record deal within months of releasing their first demo,STEELWING quickly joined the vanguard of the rising Swedish traditional heavy metal scene. Having crusaded extensively in support of giants such as ACCEPT, BLIND GUARDIAN and SABATON, and now having forged their sharpest steel to date, these ambitious and energetic young Swedes are in prime condition to subjugate their neighboring (waste)land with a headlining tour!
