Will Wilde Announces New Album for 2025 and Releases First Single & Video: ” Blues Is Still Alive” (feat. Walter Trout)
Harmonica Virtuoso Will Wilde Teams Up with Blues Legend Walter Trout for New Single “Blues Is Still Alive,” the title track from his upcoming album set for release on February 28, 2025, via Vizz Tone Records.
Speaking about the album, Wilde says, “I think ‘Blues Is Still Alive’ is my finest work to date. When I set out to write these songs, I wanted to create an album of straight-up blues material but with the same intensity you’d find on a Walter Trout or Gary Moore blues album. I think we’ve achieved that. To have Walter as a guest on the record was a dream come true. With everything that’s going on in the world right now, the blues is just as relevant as it’s ever been.”
This electrifying collaboration showcases the timeless spirit of the blues while highlighting the exceptional talent of both artists. “Blues Is Still Alive” is a powerful blues anthem that honours the genre’s rich heritage while infusing it with a fresh, contemporary sound. Wilde’s virtuoso harmonica skills blend seamlessly with Trout’s soulful guitar work, creating a track that resonates with seasoned blues enthusiasts and new listeners alike.
Will Wilde, known for his dynamic stage presence and masterful technique, has garnered international acclaim as one of the world’s top harmonica players. This is not the first time the pair have collaborated; Wilde previously played harmonica on Trout’s album Broken, which led to an invitation to join him as a special guest on his UK tour.
“Blues Is Still Alive” is now available on all major streaming platforms starting November 8, 2024. Wilde has also released a music video for the single, capturing the raw energy of this exciting collaboration.
