| In the wake of his eighth studio album, ‘Year of The Dark Horse’, released in November last year via Snakefarm, The White Buffalo (aka Emmy-nominated artist, Jake Smith) has announced a headline tour of the UK for July 2023; this five-date run follows a series of European shows, including a guest appearance with Bruce Springsteen at Circus Maximus in Rome. The Boss and The Buffalo! For ‘Year Of The Dark Horse’, Oregon-born singer / songwriter / guitarist Smith, a performer with a hugely impressive track record in the worlds of film & TV music, joined forces with producer Jay Joyce (Eric Church, Brothers Osborne, Fidlar) at Neon Cross studio in Nashville; the result is 12 musical vignettes, individual yet constant in flow, that represent The White Buffalo‘s most evocative and ambitious work to date. Over the past few weeks, Smith has been out on the road in the US, showcasing material from ‘… Dark Horse’ flanked by regular touring / recording compadres, drummer Matt Lynott & bassist, keyboard player, guitarist Christopher Hoffee; and now, kicking off in May, the tour makes its way to Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, France and the UK… |
