Ryan Hamilton is all heart with his next self-release
Following up his scathing letter to the music industry – former single ‘Bad Breaks’, Texan singer-songwriter is altogether more chill on his next release. A very unique take on a classic, Hamilton strips back the disco swagger of Blondie’s ‘Heart of Glass’ until it becomes something altogether more fragile.
Says Hamilton: “If you’re going to cover a song as iconic as Heart of Glass, I think it’s important to try something different. Because you’re never going to touch the original. I’m really proud of the dark, moody version I created. I think it has its own delicate beauty. I hope the band likes it… especially Debbie. She’s my forever crush.”
