Irish-Australian rockers from Sydney’s inner west, FLICKERTAIL, have released their new live single, ‘Small Town BBC Murder Mysteries (Live in the Studio)’ on digital platforms, through Golden Robot Records.
| FLICKERTAIL play guitar-fuelled rock and roll exactly the way it’s supposed to be played. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Thin Lizzy, the Dubliners, Airbourne and The Darkness, the band honed their sound in the garages and booze dens of Sydney. Their new single, ‘Small Town BBC Murder Mysteries (Live in the Studio)’ has been liftedfrom the upcoming live EP Afterlife, which is slated for release in June. Through sickly-sweet guitars and call-backs to the worst decisions of our young lives, this song tells the story of a reformed grog monster looking back on his glory days. A lot of us dread settling down and living a quiet life, but if you’ve enjoyed life in the fast lane a bit of silence can do you good. |
