THE NEW DORM-AL

Published:

Honest, immediate and energetic ‘Alright’ reveals a fresh direction for Demons Of Ruby Mae. Having each setup home studios throughout the past year, this track came together as a hybrid of home and studio-based recording. This new approach no doubt contributes to the more daring sound but ultimately it stems from the band being conscious of never being restricted to one genre. This is the band pushing their boundaries and developing that broader sound.

Upon release, the single immediately received resounding support across radio and DSPs. For starters it was added to Spotify’s Hot New Bands and Transistor editorial playlists, YouTube’s Top 10 Indie Hotlist and was named BBC Radio Leicester’s Track of the Week and XS Manchester’s Record of the Week.

Being their first single for 2021, ‘Alright’ re-affirms their commitment to continue putting out music no matter the circumstances. Of the track the band say “In a world of consumerism, we’re all guilty of searching for the next best thing that we think is going to make us happy, but is it everlasting? And are we ever truly fulfilled from it? Alright is intended to be a simple and to the point track, about living your life in as simple a way as possible, with the people and things that matter.”

‘Alright’ is out now and you can see Jonny & Adam as they welcome live music back across the UK later this year. A promising start to what is looking like a promising year for the Manchester based, Leicester born band.
