Faulkner reveal new video
LA quartet Faulkner have unveiled a towering live video for latest single ‘These Kids Nowadays’. The video premiered with Clash who called it, “Brave, endearing, and honest.”
Filmed atop one of the tallest buildings in the band’s hometown, ‘These Kids Nowadays’ has been recorded in session with the legendary US broadcaster Jason Bentley at KCRW. It sees Faulkner deliver a powerful performance of their dark, fuzzed-out anthem.
Following their formation in 2013, Faulkner were picked up by influential musical icons and producers including Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA, Mark Needham (The Killers, Imagine Dragons) and J.P. Bowersock (Julian Casablancas, Ryan Adams). These collaborations saw the band taken to Rick Rubin’s Shangri La studio in Malibu to lay down tracks for theRevanchist EP.
Faulkner consists of Lucas Asher (vocals), Eric Scullin (vocals, synth), Dimitri Farougias (bass) and Christian Hogan (drums). The band channel a new wave of electro-rock, reminiscent of Twenty One Pilots’ moody theatrical grandeur and the flighty choruses of Imagine Dragons. The result is a forward-thinking, genre-bending sound that’s kicking up a serious new storm.
