To celebrate the announcement of their upcoming UK festivals at Download, Ramblin’ Man Fair and Planet Rockstock, the award winning Finnish rockers Von Hertzen Brothers, have revealed the brand new lyric video for To The End Of The World.

To The End Of The World is taken from 2017s War Is Over. The album saw the band take a new approach to their songwriting technique. Brothers Mikko, Kie and Jonne von Hertzen took time to write separately. Mikko wrote most of his lyrics whilst on a one month break in India during January 2017. He has a long association with the country. Some time ago, he spent seven years living in an Ashram with the spiritual guru and leader Amma, also known as ‘The Hugging Saint’

Talking about the video the band say; “From the start, we’ve been intrigued by Eastern music and sometimes start the writing process from feeling out a particular Indian scale and its opportunities. This was the case with To The End Of The World. The riff kind of dictated also the theme for the song, which portrays an evolving human being who realises the need for a guide and takes an oath to stick on the path. It’s a spiritual song disguised as a love song with lots of different parts and moods to embellish the deep blue silk with some golden sparkling embroidery.”

Their sonic exploration that has seen them blaze a trail across Europe since 2006, leading them to play with artists from Foo Fighters, 30 Seconds to Mars, Neil Young, Biffy Clyro, The Wildhearts and ZZ Top to Anathema and Opeth.

The UK have well and truly taken Von Hertzen Brothers to their hearts as we saw on their most recent November 2017 tour and the brothers are thrilled to return this year playing some stellar festivals. Talking about the upcoming shows Mikko von Hertzen says; “Playing Download is every rockers dream come true. What better way to start the summer festival season than gather to Donington to meet friends and rock the hell out. We are also excited about returning to Ramblin’ Man. Two summers ago we had a brilliant time and are looking forward to playing again.”

Continuing he adds; “When we last played in Trecco Bay two years ago, I was amazed by not only the venue but the enthusiastic crowd and cheerful mood of Planet Rockstock. It’s easily one of the best, if not THE BEST winter festivals for rockers like us. We are very excited and flattered to be on the bill again this year.”

The band will be performing some classic Von Hertzen Brothers songs we all as a selection from their new album ‘War Is Over’ which was released via Music Theories Recordings/Mascot Label Group in November 2017.
