Forged by countless miles travelled down the roads all across Europe, Turin-based country blues troubadour Gianni Tbay aka THE BLUES AGAINST YOUTH returns with his primitive-country-blues one-man all-at-once set for a UK tour in July.
Following the success of his 2022 album As The Tide Gets High And Low (an IBBA Top 40 hit!), Gianni was invited to make his debut appearance at the Birmingham Jazz & Blues Festival. Taking the opportunity to see a bit more of the UK, Gianni will be playing shows across the Midlands, Southwest and Southeast, including two London dates, opening the tour at the legendary What’s Cookin’ club.

This year marks TBAY’s 15th anniversary and Gianni is celebrating this important milestone with a brand new vinyl single ‘Learn This Right’ and the cassette-only album Live At Galle, recorded in the city of Halle, Germany. Both releases will be available to buy at shows.
“It’ll be great to get back to the UK this Summertime ‘cos the weather is mild and gets along with my Mediterranean blood,” says Gianni. “Also, I’ll be able to stuff my luggage with copies of my new 7″ record rather than loads of extra clothes to stuff myself with and look like a Michelin mascot man walking in the freezing rain. So don’t expect me to come back in winter and go grab your tickets now. I’ll treat you well.”
