Digital release drops

So, you’re gearing up for your first ever UK arena tour, what better way to celebrate than by doing a surprise release of your brand new album? That’s exactly what Bowling For Soup did on Friday October 14th, by launching the digital release of their new album Drunk Dynasty!

Here’s main man Jaret Reddick on just why Bowling For Soup decided to surprise everyone with Drunk Dynasty’s release:

“Everything in this industry just keeps getting more and more fast paced. The days of taking months to “set up” a release are a thing of the past! I never liked that build up anyway! This album was crowd funded, so, we surprised our supporters first and then just said ‘eff it’…The world needs this NOW!!”

The album can be downloaded from iTunes right now. Anyone who wants a CD copy of Drunk Dynasty for their collection will have to wait until the original release date of the 11th of November (or pre-order one from the PledgeMusic campaign).

The first new Bowling For Soup album in three years, Drunk Dynasty is a short, sharp collection of uplifting, tongue-in-cheek and fun pop punk – exactly what one might expect from them. From lamenting on a relationship as only Bowling For Soup can with the opening “She Used To Be Mine” through to the thoughtful, sad yet uplifting (all at the same time) closing track “Drinkin’ Beer On A Sunday”, Drunk Dynasty is a Bowling For Soup album that should have something for almost everyone.

The first single from Drunk Dynasty is the very catchy Hey Diane, which is inspired by and dedicated to a long term friend of the band. Check out the lyric video for Hey Diane here:

Bowling For Soup have just concluded their first ever UK arena tour, where they won rave reviews from fans and media alike for their special guest slot with Steel Panther, playing to well over 30,000 fans in four cities. With fans already clamouring for their return to these shores, they can be comforted in the meantime by the release of one of Bowling For Soup’s strongest albums of their twenty plus year career.

So jump on board with Drunk Dynasty, and get ready to be entertained once again. Bowling For Soup are back, and they’ve never been better.
