Ahead of their debut headline show at The Social on August 18th, London two-piece Punkband are back with their furious new single – ‘Peaceful Life’.

‘Peaceful Life’ is an anti-establishment punch to the gut, a further anthem detailing the disinterest and disgust the youth have in modern Britain.  The single builds on the success of early releases ‘Kick It Up‘, ‘Businessman’, ‘abcabcabcabcabc‘ and ‘Red Rag to a Bull’.

Of ‘Peaceful Life’ the band’s Toby Ergatoudis says “Life’s been fucking boring for too long so we wrote something to remind people to go fucking nuts again”.

Punkband were born out of sheer “boredom with the state of music at the moment”.   Ergatoudis initially managed bandmate Alex Cook,  but admits he was “the worst fucking manager in the world”.  One day, inspired by the Sex Pistols after watching the documentary The Filth And The Fury, they thought “Why don’t we fucking do something like this?'” They acted on instinct, made some noise, and that’s basically what they do.

Of their upcoming headline show at The Social on August 18th, Ergatoudis says ” we want the live show to be the most mental thing you’ve ever seen, just unrelenting explosive chaos. Taking it back to the glory days of punk rock, and giving the youth of today a taste of it”.
