Produced by Rob De Luca, “The Brutal Divine” marks a fierce new chapter in Spread Eagle’s legacy, blending their classic hard rock roots with a darker, heavier edge. Drawing on years of relentless touring, the album delivers a powerful mix of metal and punk influences, dynamic songwriting, and emotionally charged lyrics.
Fronted by Ray West’s unmistakable vocals, alongside guitarist Gianmaria “Jommy” Puledda, bassist Rob De Luca, and drummer Rik De Luca, Spread Eagle continue to showcase the intensity, grit, and authenticity that first put them on the map, while pushing their sound forward.
Formed in New York City in the late 1980s, Spread Eagle quickly established themselves as one of the most distinctive acts to emerge from the American hard rock scene. Their self-titled debut album, released in 1990, introduced a raw, aggressive sound that stood apart from the more polished glam metal dominating the era. Combining gritty guitar riffs, powerful vocals, and a rebellious attitude, the band earned a dedicated following and critical recognition, with tracks such as “Switchblade Serenade” becoming fan favourites.
Following their sophomore album, “Open To The Public” (1993), Spread Eagle eventually returned to the spotlight with “Subway To The Stars” (2019), reaffirming their place in the hard rock landscape. With a renewed creative drive and an impressive live presence, the band have continued to build on their legacy, bringing their music to audiences around the world.
Now, with “The Brutal Divine”, Spread Eagle prove that their passion and determination remain as strong as ever, delivering hard rock with conviction, attitude, and fire.
