Roaring ahead as their breakout momentum builds, rising Smoklahoma Records Country stars Southall announce plans for a European 2024 tour. With tickets on sale now, SOUTHALL WORLD TOUR makes its way to the UK in early 2024. Southall embark on 11 dates across the country including Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and London in February 2024. The World Tour announcement follows the release of Southall’s self titled album, which includes new single “Out Alive”.
Produced by Eddie Spear (Zach Bryan, Brandi Carlile, Cody Jinks) with a nod to Southall’s hard-charging, hard-partying live shows, a gritty Southern strut meets some of their twangiest work yet, as the six-piece band starts a new chapter.
Matching ‘70s fuzz with Country muscle, twinkling pianos and front man Read Southall’s loose-fitting vocal swagger, it’s a throwback standout echoing heroes like The Georgia Satellites, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Merle Haggard and more – all while honouring Southall’s unofficial motto: “Spend it while you can.”
Formerly known as Read Southall Band, the GOLD-certified group (“Why”) has two full length albums behind them and has spent the last few years building a rabid, grassroots following on the road. After touring the U.K. and Europe with Blackberry Smoke in early 2023, they’ve spent this spring winning over crowds one stage at a time as the opening act for Whiskey Myers and Chase Rice.

ABOUT SOUTHALL:
Founding member Read Southall hails from Oklahoma and is joined in the six-piece band by Reid Barber, Jeremee Knipp, Braxton Curliss, John Tyler Perry and Ryan Wellman. Southall’s musical influences range from Country to Rock to Metal and more in between, making for a wholly original sound reminiscent of “being in the crowd at a young Merle Haggard show,” according to The Anniston Star. The guitar-driven band never loses focus on meaningful lyrics, penning tunes that speak to every aspect of life and help drive a Rock and Roll experience for their audience, whether they’re listening at home or at a packed show. Southall’s latest album, 2021’s FOR THE BIRDS, features the epic six-minute long single “Where We Belong” and “impressive standout” (Raised Rowdy) “Rose Gold” and follows their 2017 album BORROWED TIME, which features their RIAA GOLD-certified single “Why.” Full of ‘70s Soul, Country-inspired lyricism and Rock and Roll heart, Southall’s music draws packed crowds and evokes old-school Country and early Grunge all at once. The band has tallied over 164 MILLION streams on Spotify and over 119 MILLION streams on Apple Music, tallying over 1.1 MILLION monthly listeners across platforms. With new music on the way and a passion for the road, Southall is just getting started.
