Today, Chef’Special release their first single of the year, ‘Trouble’. The band, hailing from The Netherlands, also announce their upcoming album ‘Unfold’ which is available for pre-order here. The new album will be released digitally on all streaming platforms and physically on CD, LP and a limited coloured deluxe LP.

‘Trouble’ primarily follows the story of a relationship, though easily applies to the notions of addiction and faith with the running symbolism of surrendering yourself for something. The deep content of the lyrics contrasts beautifully with the light, danceable beat of the track. ‘Trouble’ encapsulates the melancholic vibe of Chef’Special and the 2020 offerings to come, hitting the nineties hip-hop vibe which the band grew up with and draw inspiration from.

Chef’Special have a core set of values and set themselves up as a band who produce and play their own music. They hold the ‘band’ feeling whilst grasping multiple genres all the way over to modern electric. Spanning their music over 3 albums with over 150 million streams on Spotify, they pride themselves on collecting unique sounds and delivering an incredible live performance. Guido (guitar and producer), Wouter Prudon (drums), Jan Derks (bass) and Wouter Heeren (keys) have created their own blend of rock, hip-hop and reggae with their live show having taken them to the likes of Lowlands, Pinkpop and Sziget, as well as on tour with Twenty One Pilots.
