Acclaimed Country duo Smithfield kicked off their anticipated UK tour this past weekend at The Long Road Festival in Leicestershire. The pair will also appear in Brentwood, York, Birmingham, Newcastle and London as well as Blackpool where they’ll headline The British Country Music Festival.
Commenting on the performance and forthcoming tour, Smithfield shared, “The Long Road was an absolute highlight for us to start off our first tour in the UK! It reminded us just how powerful music is at bringing people together, no matter how many miles are between us. We had a great crowd at the Front Porch stage this year, and hope to be back in the future at an even bigger one. We can’t wait to start these string of headlining shows and a headlining set at the British Country Music Festival! We want to keep the momentum and connection going with UK fans, and can’t wait to share our harmonies, stories, and country with heart with them on this tour!”
The tour precedes the release of Smithfield’s upcoming album, Country With Heart, Part 2, arriving September 11. The eight-song collection completes the story the duo began with Country With Heart, Part 1, celebrating the love, faith, family, friendship and resilience that have shaped Jennifer Fielder and Trey Smith throughout their 14-year journey together. Fans can also pre-order the project’s deluxe two-disc vinyl edition, bringing together both installments of Country With Heart along with exclusive bonus tracks.
