SLADE ANNOUNCE TOUR

Published:

This December, Dave Hill’s Slade will embark upon their final tour, bringing their thrilling live show to O2 venues across the UK in the run-up to Christmas.

After kicking things off at the White Rock in Hastings on 28th November, Slade will grace O2 venues across the country with their pop-rock stylings for the last time this festive season. ‘The Final Tour’ includes stops at O2 City Hall in Newcastle, O2 Academy in Liverpool, the impressive O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London and more, before concluding at the iconic O2 Ritz in Manchester on 22nd December.

Dave Hill’s Slade are still one of the most exciting bands on the road, and their stage performance is a dynamic, powerful, and exhilarating roller-coaster of pure, unadulterated rock ‘n’ roll. The band will be joined for their UK dates by Sons of the Seventies, a four-piece band from Oxfordshire who pay tribute to the seventies with covers of classics from the era.

The full list of live dates can be found below.

With their unique blend of perfect pop-rock ‘n’ roll, outrageous flamboyance and pure fun, Slade have become a firm favourite in the hearts of pop fans all over the world. Their chart career has spanned six decades, picking up no less than twenty-three top ten singles and six number one smash hits along the way.

The band first hit the road in 1966, touring throughout Great Britain and Europe and becoming a regular concert attraction. Joining forces with the former Animals bass guitarist and Jimi Hendrix Experience manager Chas Chandler, Slade achieved their first chart hit in May 1971 with the Bobby Marchan song “Get Down and Get With It”. In the same year, they claimed their first number one with “Coz I Luv You”.

Throughout the seventies, they became one of Europe’s biggest bands, their catalogue of hits becoming synonymous with the era. But not content to rest on their glam laurels, they forged a new path through the hugely influential British heavy rock scene in the 80s, becoming a major force in the country’s realm of pop ‘n’ rock.

Led by founding member Dave Hill on lead guitar, Slade have continued to tour the world. John Berry accompanies on lead vocals, bass, acoustic guitar and violin, while Russell Keefe takes up lead vocals and keys and Alex Bines takes his place behind the drumkit.
