Carry You Safe is the new single from Dublin based artist Short Pier. The track is released digitally on August 2nd.

Citing influences such as Tom Petty, Noel Gallagher, The Eagles, Pearl Jam and The Counting Crows “The song is a wish list of all the things that I want but there’s also a promise in the song – as much as I want these things in the future, I’m still going to keep the person safe and carry them strong.  The song is expansive in its imagery which I always try and get across in my songs.”

Recorded with acclaimed Irish producer Scott Halliday ( a member of acclaimed band “Flecks” and a touring musician for the likes of Lisa Hannigan, James Vincent Mcmorrow and also spent time with Prince, touring as his guitar tech.)

Carry You Safe is a new direction for Short Pier.  “I really enjoy production in songs but this a lot more stripped back. It’s really interesting for me to build a song around piano as opposed to guitar.  I think it compliments my catalogue really well.”

Carry You Safe can be downloaded and streamed from August 2nd.

Short Pier performs a number of intimate dates to promote the release. Catch him live at:

August 2nd – Urban Health, Ranelagh
September 6th – Urban Health, Ranelagh.
