Fast-rising teenage rock trio Riff Wood return today with their explosive new single “Run It,” out today via Giant Music – listen HERE. Fueled by distorted guitar riffs and pop-punk melodies, the track is the latest offering from the band’s forthcoming sophomore album, Butterfly In Black And White, due September 18 and recorded with 3X GRAMMY®-winning producer Rob Cavallo

The new single follows previously released tracks “Butterfly In Black And White,” “Shy Guy,” “And Now,” “PUNK” and “Manufactured Tragedy,” continuing the rollout ahead of the full album release this fall.

“‘Run It’ is about letting go of hesitation and fully committing to whatever’s in front of you,” said Riff Wood. “It’s that mindset of not overthinking, not holding yourself back, and just going for it with everything you’ve got.”

Run It” arrives as the trio prepares to head out on their biggest North American headline tour to date, giving fans an early chance to hear new songs from the record live. Following the band’s sold-out UK headline tour in June, the next leg kicks off July 20 in Seattle, WA and includes stops at iconic venues including The Troubadour in Los Angeles and Irving Plaza in New York before wrapping August 15 in Salt Lake City, UT. After discovering the band through a viral TikTok featuring “Blur,” Rob Cavallo, the legendary producer behind Green DayMy Chemical RomanceParamore and more, reached out via DM, a surreal full-circle moment for the trio who grew up covering Green Day songs.

Run It” continues a massive breakout run for the Utah-based trio, who have amassed more than 60 million TikTok views, sold-out headline tours in the US and abroad, and increasing support at Alt Radio, quickly emerging as one of alternative rock’s most promising new acts.

Riff Wood is a rock band from Davis County, Utah composed of best friends Carson Groves, Hyrum Russon and Shredder Winegar.
