“Formed in 2024,” says the press pack. But let’s be real—”Roll The Dice” feels like it’s been gathering dust in an attic for 40 years, just waiting for the right moment to be unleashed. Thankfully, that moment is now.

The title track kicks things off in classic rock fashion, deeply rooted in the great tradition of the genre. But Leadfeather isn’t just here to play it safe. Track two, “Silver And Feathers,” is the kind of atmospheric piece most bands would use as an intro, yet here it stands as a bold statement—proof that Leadfeather wants to do things their own way.

“Higher” takes a detour down Rival Sons territory, embracing a psychedelic groove, and guitarist/founder Simon Hurts lays down a blistering solo that cements his credentials. But it’s singer Apostolos—no last name needed, like Cher—who really defines the band’s sound. This kind of music demands a voice that can roar like Robert Plant or Glenn Hughes, and Apostolos delivers in spades.

If “Shoot For The Stars” is a statement of intent, then “Why” is the exclamation point, reaffirming the band’s class and conviction. “Roll The Dice” isn’t just an EP—it’s the sound of a band making the music they love, with no apologies and no compromises.
