Grace Potter is delighted to reveal her new track & video, ‘Back to Me’, taken from her forthcoming album, Daylight, due out 1 November 2019 via Snakefarm Records in the UK.
‘Back to Me’ features supreme vocalists, Jess Wolfe & Holly Laessig of the indie band Lucius, and is now streaming and available (here). It follows the album’s first single & video, ‘Love Is Love’, which Paste magazine described as ‘the kind of song that’ll stop you dead in your tracks’.
Produced by Potter‘s husband Eric Valentine, Daylight is the singer’s first new album in four years, taking root at the couple’s California home. The featured tracks mirror many of the emotional events Potter has endured over the last several years, including a painful divorce and the break-up of her band— as well as far more joyful happenings like a new marriage and the birth of her first child.
Daylight was recorded at Valentine‘s Barefoot Recording Studio in Hollywood, and spotlights the talents of guitarist Benny Yurco, drummer Matt Musty, Benmont Tench & Larry Goldings on keys, as well as backing vocals from Lucius.
Grace recently headlined her annual Grand Point North music festival in its ninth season in Burlington, Vermont; this year it featured Gov’t Mule, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, J.S Ondara, Trombone Shorty & Lucius to name just a few. Potter founded the festival in 2011 to celebrate the local music scene, whilst welcoming some of today’s biggest artists.
Described by Spin magazine as “one of the greatest living voices in rock today”, Grace Potter has not only played every major music festival from Coachella & Lollapalooza to Bonnaroo & Rock in Rio, she’s created her own thriving music event, Burlington’s Grand Point North.
Additionally, she’s shared a stage with artists such as The Rolling Stones, Willie Nelson, Robert Plant, the Allman Brothers, Neil Young, Jackson Browne, Mavis Staples and The Roots, to name just a few.
Potter has also collaborated with the Flaming Lips for a Tim Burton film, written & produced music for film & TV and recorded two GRAMMY-nominated, multi-Platinum singles with her friend Kenny Chesney.PO
