UK based alt rock trio Mercutio are set to release their new video for the single “Playtime” today, via Diverge Records. Video can be watched here.

Following the critical and commercially acclaimed release of previous single “Slap Bang” in July 2020 (see the video for “Slap Bang” HERE), and the launch of their debut album “Antagonist” in June 2021, the band is now thrilled to share their brand new video for “Playtime”, ahead of the much anticipated UK tour as special guest to Inglorious.

The band comments: “It’s finally time for us to unleash those feelings of impatience and frustration, that have been boiling up for 18 months, on every single square centimetre of every single stage we’ll step on. More than ever we’re going to squeeze ourselves up to the last drop, because we’ve missed it so much we’re not gonna hold anything back. Who’s up for some light human sacrifice!?

Taken from “Antagonist”, “Playtime” continues to deliver supremely infectious rock songs. Kicking off with a driving bass line, the track develops into a rock song with huge chorus and stunning drop down. The unique powerful and intense vocals of Ross Willian Wild are perfectly showcased. The band’s latest record “Antagonist” is a stunning collection of rock songs – instantly memorable melodies underpinned by driving rhythms. From the hammer blow riffs of album opener “Where The Pain Lives” to the brooding “C Word”, from the epic, histrionic “Alex” to sleazy groove of album closer, and new single, “Revolution Station”, “Antagonist” marks Mercutio as one of the most exciting new rocks acts of 2021.

To celebrate the release of their debut album, the band will finally embark on a full UK tour in September/October 2021 as special guest to British rock band Inglorious. This tour will see Mercutio take over some of the most icon stages across the country, bringing their unique sound to life with an energetic and unforgettable performance.
