Brothers Jack, Callum and Theo are the foundation of this Americana group who have been
tearing up stages across the UK since they started the band in 2017. After being noticed by the likes of the Americana Music Association UK and Bob Harris as ones to watch, they’ve built a reputation as one of the best live acts in the scene, often performing as a bigger group with their horn section. They have combined rock ’n’ roll, soul and Americana to form their own unique sound – part Soul Revue, part Bar Band.
Reflecting on how ‘I Wanna Party’ came about, Callum says: “I sat down during the Summer in 2020 with a lot of time on my hands and wrote the songs that make up the new EP in the space of about a week. I didn’t necessarily think about it at the time, but looking at it now I think it was just a release for me, the music is at its core just fun bar-band rock ’n’ roll. We had had a whole host of gigs and festivals lined-up that had just fallen away and missing that connection to playing in a hot, sweaty room, or a huge field packed with people, I just wanted to write something that reminded me of the best bits of playing live”.
With the lifting of some lockdown restrictions the band were able to get together again to play through the new material, work on the arrangements and decide where to record. The Trinity music venue in Harrow, being the first place the brothers had ever played together,
and their local venue growing up, seemed like a good choice for the recording. With the venue closed due to Lockdown it ended up becoming the perfect location to record this EP.’
“Considering in some ways it’s just four tracks that really are about letting loose, leaving behind inhibitions and just having a good time, it has real significance for the band.
