OUT COME THE WOLF

Published:

Starting the year with a fresh identity, the announcement of numerous forthcoming festival appearances and subsequent release of their latest single ‘I Lose My Mind’, West Midlands blues rockers Wolf Jaw are back once more with an exciting announcement for the summer months of 2019!

Following their upcoming appearance at this year’s Teddy Rocks Festival on 4th May and Download Festival’s Dogtooth Stage on Sunday 16th June, Tom Leighton, Dale Tonks and Karl Selickis are thrilled to confirm that they will be hitting major cities across the UK throughout July as they join American rock outfit Crobot on tour.

Announced via the bands social media accounts on Friday 29th March, the upcoming Crobot tour will hit a number of US locations before Wolf Jaw join the fray, supporting the band as they land in London, Manchester and Birmingham, as well as Kent’s Ramblin’ Man Fair and Steelhouse Festival in Wales – to name but a few.

Vocalist and guitarist Tom Leighton recalls that this isn’t the first time the band have crossed paths with Crobot:

“We’re absolutely stoked to be getting back out on the road with Crobot; We performed three dates with them back in 2016, around the release of ‘Welcome To Fat City’, and have followed them ever since. Getting to play more shows with them is going to be awesome – an all-out riff-fest! We can’t wait!”

News of the Crobot tour comes shortly after the release of the band’s first single under their new name. Formerly known as The Bad Flowers, the Cannock trio made a heavy impact with their 2018 debut album ‘Starting Gun’, but as time went on, Leighton and his cohorts realised that the band needed to evolve into something bigger, grittier and with more bite. ‘I Lose My Mind’ was released on 4th February, and showcased a darker and more personal tone than perhaps had been seen in the band’s previous efforts – a fresh taste of rock ‘n’ roll rebellion signifying a new beast set to pounce on 2019’s rock festivals.

With this latest announcement of live dates across the UK, there has never been a better time to rock out to Wolf Jaw’s electrifying stage performance! Tickets for the upcoming UK dates of the tour can be purchased from Crobot’swebsite.
