Rapidly rising South London based “dirtbag boyband”, Bears In Trees, are pleased to reveal the video for their new single ‘Heaven Sent is A Coffee Cup’ which is out now.
The track is the latest to be taken from their recently-announced debut studio album, and everybody else smiled back, which is out now through Counter Intuitive Records, and—largely thanks to their hugely engaged mass social media following—has already been streamed organically a remarkable 800,000 times since release.
Alongside the new single, the band are delighted to announce an extensive run of March 2022 US tour datessupporting Just Friends alongside Graduating Life, as well as appearances at this year’s Liverpool Sound City and 2000 Trees Festival.
The band recently revealed a run of February 2022 UK headline tour dates with tickets on sale now (see below for listings), including their biggest London show to date at Electric Ballroom on 22nd February 2022, and dates already selling out fast.
Premium tickets are available which include a signed poster, and the band are currently running a competition on socials for holders of tickets bought in the first week to win a chance to meet the band before the show.
Commenting on the new track, vocalist Nick Peters says: “‘Heaven Sent’ is about the night me and my partner met for the first time – it was at Iain’s house party, she didn’t remember me and I’m very glad, because I was wasted. I wouldn’t meet her properly for another year and a half. so I guess it’s about that party too, because that’s the same party where someone started breaking down Iain’s garden fence to make a campfire—but mainly about the whole confusion of meeting someone who’s going to become very important to you on that sort of night.”
The single follows on from previous singles ‘Great Heights’, ‘I’m Doing Push Ups‘ and ‘Little Cellist’ released earlier this year, whilst earlier this summer the band released their standalone double AA single ‘Flower Through Concrete’—fans can stream the songs ‘Fresh Concrete’ and ‘Evergreen’ on their preferred music streaming service here.
Despite a huge following on social media and streaming services leading to an already impressively hungry fanbase, the tracks saw the band picking up their first UK and international attention from press with the likes of BBC 6music, Rock Sound, Gold Flake Paint, Vanyaland, FLOOD Magazine, UPROXX, Brooklyn Vegan, CLASH, Louder Than War, Substream Magazine, and a host of blogs pledge their support for the band.
The band most recently supported YouTube sensation Noah Finnce, not to mention selling out their own debut headline UK tour dates in July 2021 during a global pandemic (including a 500 cap London show).
