Today (19th August) Irish singer-storyteller David Keenan releases his newest single ‘What Then Cried Jo Soap’.

Following the success of ‘Bark’ and ‘Peter O’Toole’s Drinking Stories’, Irish singer-storyteller David Keenan keeps moving ahead with his new single ‘What Then Cried Jo Soap’, the third tantalizing taste of his forthcoming second album “WHAT THEN?” ‘Bark’ enjoyed multiple plays on BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Radio Ulster, adding to the success of ‘Peter O’Toole’s Drinking Stories’, which found favour at Radio X, Amazing Radio, Severn FM and the aforementioned BBC regional stations.

At home, David Keenan’s two lead-off singles have enjoyed extensive support from RTE Radio 1, RTE 2FM, Newstalk, Beat 102plusNorthern Sound and Shannonside. Add in European support from Germany (Byte FM, m94.5 Munich and others) and The Netherlands (both singles playlisted at KINK) and there is a real sense of momentum. David has recorded two TV shows (Ireland In Music and Fanning At Whelans) to be broadcast in Ireland before Christmas.
