After the success of the debut NWOCR compilation album ‘Volume One’ featuring Massive Wagons & Phil Campbell & The Bastard Sons (to name but a few), a packed-out event at KK’s Steel Mill in Wolverhampton, and support from Rock fans across the globe, the NWOCR compilation is back with Volume Two and it’s juicier than ever! The fastest growing movement in rock made headlines last year as the fan-funded ‘Volume One’ beat off stiff competition from the majors to land a top 10 position in the Official UK Compilation Charts.
The movement shows no sign of slowing down, with ‘Volume Two’ of this impressive double whammy compilation CD just announced, alongside some edition merchandise including the coveted ‘NWOCR’ Tea Towel – all available to pre-order now.
Featuring over 30 energetic, pulsating, and dynamic tracks from the current scene, ‘The Official New Wave of Classic Rock – Volume Two’ has once again been meticulously curated with help from a fan vote, the NWOCR team, and Rock People Management, ensuring that the fans get a brand-new all-killer, no-filler, no-repeats experience.
Richard Brindley from NWOCR comments “After the success of Volume One, and with so many great bands around who we were unable to fit on the first volume, it made so much sense to do it all again and produce Volume Two.”
Artists featured on this release include Wayward Sons, Inglorious, The Virginmarys, The Treatment, Laurence Jones, Kira Mac and many, many more, with backing by Frontiers Records and Roulette Media.
Wayward Sons frontman Toby Jepson says, “As a ‘lifer’ in the crazy world of the music business, it’s hard not to become a jaded cynic from time to time, such are the challenges for bands and artists. However, with the NWOCR compilation records, and those enthusiasts behind it, it’s comforting and hugely encouraging to know that there is still a massive audience out there that love the music and want to support those brave enough to give it a go. As an old soldier, I’m delighted and humbled to be asked to be part of what is a beacon of hope for Rock & Roll.”
