Following the success of recent single ‘Down To Earth’ – voted Classic Rock ‘Track of the Week’ – Brecon-based skate-rockers Kit Trigg have shared a video for their new track ‘Glass Ceiling’ ahead of their first headline tour which kicks off THIS WEEK! The new single is taken from their upcoming EP ‘Free ‘N’ Easy’ also set for release this Friday 18th September.

Featuring sweet harmonies in abundance, the new track is tailor-made to belt at the top of your lungs and lose yourself to. It was written for those who live with or have experienced any form of PTSD, anxiety or trauma – a cause very close to Kit’s heart. The idea is to offer calm relief for the listener – a fan-favourite sing-along highlighting the range of Kit’s vocals throughout the mammoth chorus, while exploring the depths of what it can take to overcome life’s challenges.
Speaking of the track and video, Kit explains:
“Sometimes, everything we’re looking for is on the other side of something we’re afraid of. It’s almost like a signpost.

“I’ve waited years to write this song, Glass Ceiling. I could never quite put into words such difficult and seemingly impossible feelings and then once I started pushing beyond what I thought was possible, I wrote all of the lyrics in about five minutes. The song is about overcoming post-traumatic stress disorder, which as other people will know – can feel like quite an impossible thing. This song is a vehicle to remind us all, no matter what we are going through and although something may feel impossible – we can do it, one step at a time, outside the comfort zone. It’s where the magic happens!

“The guys and I had an awesome video idea planned outdoors so it was gonna be this huge cinematic type thing – but it started raining and being a bit stormy so we built a set in my garage and just had so much fun making this self filmed video instead! Kind of ironic, considering this song is about overcoming obstacles”.
With the charismatic Adam Thorn on bass/backing vocals, and rock-solid Max Rhead on drums/backing vocals, together the trio create what Kit describes as “Pure harmony and freedom; No click. No backing tracks. 3 voices, 5 strings, and the magic of live music.”

The brand new EP ‘Free ‘N’ Easy’ features the title track, ‘Down To Earth’, the previously released ‘Snake in the Grass’, ‘Life Raft’ and finally, ‘Glass Ceiling’. The EP is available for pre-order now via kittriggsucks.com, with bundles including original drum skin artwork hand drawn by Kit himself.

Having completed multiple tours around the UK this year as special guests to Dan Byrne and Fireheart, before a busy summer festival season including stand-out performances at Maid of Stone, Wildfire and S.O.S Festivals, the trio are set to embark on their first headline tour kicking off this week.

The tour, consisting of 6 dates across the UK, sees special guests Honeybadger and Sam Millar take the stage for 3 shows each, culminating in a grand finale at the intimate Music and Arts Centre in Barnoldswick.

Speaking of the upcoming tour dates, Kit exclaims:
“We are stoked to rip these headline shows! We are gonna be bringing a crazy amount of good energy and have never been tighter! The set is lethal and packed with our best songs old and new! We can’t wait for you all to be in the moment with us!”

Formed in a skate park in Farnham circa 2015, Kit Trigg is a power rock trio that delivers life-affirming classic rock songs for the present day.
Notwithstanding the dynamic vocals, poignant lyrics, choruses you can belt your heart out to or the rocket-powered rhythm section, it’s the quality of song-writing that sets this band apart.

Oozing with cool charisma and positivity, they have made waves across the UK (and beyond!) over recent years, supporting the likes of Massive Wagons, These Wicked Rivers, Hayseed Dixie and The Virginmarys, buoyed by the momentum of critically acclaimed EP ‘Goin for Glory’.
