Hailed as ‘the new master of the slide guitar’ by the Montreux Jazz Festival and ‘the real thang’ by the legendary Bootsy Collins, acclaimed English singer-songwriter and guitarist Jack Broadbent has spent almost a decade wowing international audiences with his unique blend of virtuosic acoustic and slide guitar playing, his poignant folk and blues-inspired vocals, and not least, four studio albums containing songs that range from beautiful folk ballads to raw blues to straight-up rock ‘n’ roll.

His most recent album, ‘Moonshine Blue’, was released in November 2019 and received rave notices from all who heard it (see UK review quotes below). Touring to promote it was severely curtailed by the pandemic, so he is determined to make up for lost time and has just announced twenty US shows in October/November, many as a headliner plus a tour with Little Feat that will extend into 2022. He is also poised to release a brand new album in the spring, an opening salvo from which entitled ‘I Love Your Rock ‘N’ Roll’ is released as a single today.

Born in 1988 in rural Lincolnshire but currently based in Canada, Broadbent grew up listening to artists as diverse as Radiohead, Robert Johnson, Joni Mitchell and Davey Graham, all of whom have had an indirect influence on the unique songwriting, singing, performing and production techniques that give his own music a genre-defying heart and depth.

Broadbent’s live shows exude warmth, humour and an energy that has electrified audiences worldwide. Following successful dates opening for artists such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Ronnie Wood, Peter Frampton and Tommy Emmanuel, he has gone on to headline international tours that include sold-out shows in the US, Canada, Europe, New Zealand, Australia and Japan.

With an already impressive fanbase and streaming numbers close to 20 million on Spotify alone, his new music is set to reach an even wider audience.
