DAUGHTRY DROPS NEW EP SHOCK TO THE SYSTEM (PART TWO)
OUT NOW VIA BIG MACHINE ROCK
LISTEN TO LEAD TRACK, ‘ANTIDOTE’ HERE
Multi-GRAMMY® Award-nominated, multi-platinum rock band Daughtry has released its highly anticipated EP, SHOCK TO THE SYSTEM (PART TWO), today via Big Machine Rock. The project arrives as the next chapter in the band’s striking creative evolution, following a landmark year that included back-to-back #1 singles at Active Rock and sold-out tours with Creed and Disturbed. This fall, the band will hit the road with Seether kicking off in Virginia Beach on October 1. Listen to SHOCK TO THE SYSTEM (PART TWO) HERE.
SHOCK TO THE SYSTEM (PART TWO) is a hard-hitting and deeply personal body of work that captures the intensity of change and transformation.
“This EP is ultimately about facing the things we’ve ignored within ourselves and confronting the wake-up calls that force us to go deeper. These songs unlocked something very real, honest, and visceral in me as a writer and as a human being,” says Chris Daughtry.
The EP culminates with its emotional centerpiece, “ANTIDOTE.” The track pairs a stark piano melody with atmospheric vocals before giving way to tense, cinematic strings in the bridge. Daughtry delivers one of his most vulnerable performances to date as he reflects, “Looking back, it’s hard to watch the poison take control when you don’t have the antidote.”
Additional tracks on the EP include “THE SEEDS,” “DIVIDED,” “THE DAY I DIE,” “THE BOTTOM,” “TERRIFIED,” and “RAZOR.” Each song contributes to the project’s overarching theme of resilience and self-discovery, cementing Daughtry’s reputation for delivering music that resonates on both a visceral and emotional level.
The band will be returning to the UK in 2026 to join Alter Bridge on the arena tour in February.
