MORE BARRAS DATES

Published:

Last week, KRIS BARRAS BAND announced their intention to try to help save independent venue The Booking Hall in Dover, by booking a one-off show there this June to increase footfall and raise awareness of the plight facing the venue. The grassroots venue is at risk of permanent closure and now crowd-funding to buy their freehold with the support of the Music Venue Trust.

Fan reaction on social media was immediate, with fans promptly highlighting other small venues around the country who feature in touring calendars less often, who could also benefit.

While not able to play every venue fans sent messages about, KRIS BARRAS BAND is determined to at least hold gigs at some, and today announces a string of headline dates in Nov/Dec, deliberately venturing a little more off the beaten track.

Shows include:

Wed 6th Nov – BRIGHTON The Arch

Thu 7th Nov – BURY ST EDMUNDS The Apex

Sat 9th Nov – LEICESTER O2 Academy

Sun 10th Nov – OXFORD O2 Academy

Wed 27th Nov – CHESTER Live Rooms

Fri 29th Nov – HOLMFIRTH Picturedome

Sat 30th Nov – LINCOLN Drill Hall

Sun 1st Dec – EXETER Phoenix

Special guests will be Scotland’s technicolour, Norse-inspired rockers North Atlas and The Nocturnal Affair from Las Vegas who opened for KRIS BARRAS BAND earlier this year, proving that what happens in Vegas, doesn’t always stay in Vegas!

In addition, KRIS BARRAS BAND will headline the Monsterfest in Inverness, Scotland on Friday 8th November.

Frontman Kris Barras says “I’m really looking forward to this tour, the UK tour we just finished was just the time of my life, and I know these rooms, these stages, and these crowds will not disappoint either. We need our grassroots venues to not only survive but thrive, and help grow today’s newer bands into tomorrow’s festival headliners, so grab a ticket and come out and help us do our bit.”
