Boasting previous high-profile performances with the likes of Dead Letter Circus,Twelve Foot Ninja and I Am Giant, Gold Coast rock outfit Mass Sky Raid have released a stunning new single titled ‘Not Alone’.
Carving an ambient atmosphere combined with a huge anthemic chorus, ‘Not Alone’ is packed with dynamic musical layers and lyrics that consider the concept of facing one’s own fears whilst simultaneously trying to find purpose and meaning to life.
The band says that the song is “Touching on the struggles faced when reaching for your dreams and the uncertainty of stepping outside your comfort zone, ‘Not Alone’ faces the battle to find the strength within that can lead to an ultimately more fulfilling existence.”
Mass Sky Raid have also added two new members to their line-up.
The new lineup of the band consists of original members Adam Lomas (Vocals) and Alex Kewley (Guitar) – along with new faces Nic Ross (Drums) and Joshua Whitney (Bass). Lomas went on to say that he is extremely excited about the future of the band with the new roster of faces and talents. “We couldn’t be more excited – to take this time to perfect our music and get it out there has been cathartic – and when we finally hit the live stage again, we can’t wait for everyone to see and hear just how large the sound we have created with this new lineup is!”
Formed in 2011, Mass Sky Raid released their debut EP ‘Courage Under Fire’ in 2013, followed by their first full length album ‘Science of Fiction’, which gained the band ongoing recognition and invitations to perform at Progfest 2019, while also being placed in the 2019 Queensland Australia music finalist awards and Gold Coast 2019 finalist awards in 4 categories including “Best Album” (‘Science of Fiction’) “Best Song”, “Breakout Artist Of The Year” and “People’s Choice Award”.
2019 saw Mass Sky Raid gain significant funding support through the local Gold Coast Regional Art Development Fund program. This enabled them to continue to develop and
expand their unique anthemic sound and work toward their highly anticipated follow
up album. In collaboration with talented local Gold Coast producer Luke Palmer,
Mass Sky Raid has been working extremely hard behind the scenes and is excited to
release their new songs to the world.
‘Not Alone’ is out on all DSP’s from Friday 28th August Mass Sky Raid will return with more new music in the near future.
