ME AND THAT MAN have unveiled ‘Cross My Heart And Hope To Die’, another track taken from their forthcoming debut album, ‘Songs of Love And Death’, set for release on 24th March via Cooking Vinyl.
A collaboration between Nergal, Behemoth’s free-thinking visionary and British/Polish rock musician, John Porter, ME AND THAT MAN showcases a different side of the charismatic frontman. Their debut, ‘Songs of Love & Death’ is a collection that draws on dark narratives familiar to fans of Nick Cave, Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen. Nergal explains, “I need ME AND THAT MAN to keep the balance, as the potential of my mother band seems limitless. It gets bigger and bigger, more advanced and more sophisticated… and darker …and blacker. But ME AND THAT MAN is at the opposite pole, artistically speaking. This is not happy music, but it’s liberating.”
