Fredrik Lindkvist, mostly knowns as the former singer and frontman of Swedish hardcore band Totalt Jävla Mörker, has launched a new solo project. Under the artist name Fred Lee & The Restless, he will release his solo debut album “Sleepwalking in Daylight” in summer 2021. Embracing a completely different sound and style of songwriting, Fredriks solo project sounds like nothing he’s done before. Traditional storytelling, bittersweet vocal melodies, and clean guitar licks ads up to a colorful and exciting take on folk-rock.
“I hope that the people listening to this record realizes that I‘m more than just hardcore. Maybe even get an insight into my life.”
The third and final single leading up to Fred Lee & The Restless’ debut album is called “You Were Anyone, But Not Anywhere…”, an intimate, fully acoustic track. Clocking in at just under two minutes, it’s the shortest cut of the album.
“You Were Anyone, But Not Anywhere…” is out on all streaming platforms on May 14. Fred Lee & The Restless’ album “Sleepwalking in Daylight” is released via Lövely on June 11 on vinyl and digital format.
