LIONS ON THE HORISONT

Published:

Sweden’s HORISONT used their downtime to record two new songs. After releasing “Sheldon Churchyard” (originally by Larry Jon Wilson) the band just made a cover of another obscure gem available on all DSPs: “With a genius melody and a voice that cuts through the mix. A song about the cruel, raw nature of a love affair gone wrong. ‘Lion and the Lamb’ is originally by Phil Everly.”

You can listen to the song here: https://horisont.lnk.to/LionAndTheLamb-Single

While you’re online don’t miss your chance to check out “Sheldon Churchyard” and the fantastic video that you find here: https://youtu.be/8R0Ro21ZoeI

The band comments on the idea of the recordings: “As big fans of country music we wanted to do a couple of songs that people might not expect from us. Still, we wanted them to sound like Horisont. So we set up at Let Them Swing Studio and hit the record button just to see where the songs took us. This is the result. Let Them Swing Studio is a recording studio in the countryside outside of Gothenburg, Sweden, owned and run by Kim and Malin. They rebuilt an old barn on their property and set it up for live recording. With no neighbors in sight, it’s an ideal place to make noise 24-7. A weekend mixed of relaxed creativity and fun.”

Both songs are not part of HORISONT’s acclaimed album “Sudden Death” that was released in May of 2020.

HORISONT are:

Charles – Guitar
Pontus – Drums
Axel – Vocals
