The King of Gothic Blues is back! Ledfoot (Tim Scott McConnell) will make a long-awaited return to the UK in late July to play four dates promoting his 2025 album, ‘Plain Simple Honesty’. His eighth full-length solo release, it is exactly what its title suggests; a collection of brutally honest songs straight from the heart relating small yet powerful stories that guide listeners through the darker corners of the human psyche, populated with characters who endure despite constant setbacks.

“Telling the truth is sometimes the hardest thing to do, but it’s always worth the effort”

‘Plain Simple Honesty’ blends Ledfoot’s signature sound with the rich tradition of American singer-songwriters. In addition to 12-string guitar, he plays baritone guitar, bass, percussion and banjo. The last of these was his first stringed instrument and displays the clear influence of early heroes Doc Boggs and Roscoe Holcomb.

Recorded at Studio Nyhagen in eastern Norway with Ledfoot co-producing alongside Kjartan Hesthagen and Markus O. Klyve, the trio achieved a sound that lies somewhere between the 2022 Norwegian Grammy-winning album ‘Coffin Nails’ and it’s 2024 follow-up, ‘Outsiders’.
