THE KARMA EFFECT ANNOUNCE NEW LINE-UP AHEAD OF ENTERING STUDIO TO RECORD NEW ALBUM

Top 20 UK Hard Rock act, THE KARMA EFFECT, head into the studio this week to begin work on the follow-up to their 2024 #19 album, Promised Land (Earache Records)… and they do so with a revamped line-up. Frontman, Henry Gottellier, picks up the story… “Following our last tour, Ash Powell (Drums) & Liam Quinn (Bass), broke the news that they both, individually, wanted to explore new things. Ash, moving more into the session/touring world and Liam, stepping back from music at present. While our Keys player, Jamie Bull, has been awesome and stepped into the band bringing his own flair and flavour to our live shows and leaves the band with a host of great memories. They have all helped lay the foundation of what The Karma Effect has become. From the first chords played to the biggest shows we’ve had so far – none of it would’ve been possible without them. We couldn’t be more proud of what we built together. They will always be a part of the TKE story – our friends, our brothers, our legacy. We wish them nothing but love and success in all they do next. But now we get to look ahead… We’re beyond excited to finally share some news we’ve been quietly buzzing about for a while… Please give a massive welcome to Alan Taylor (Drums. Most recently seen with Laurence Jones), Tom Pitt (Keys. A highly qualified multi-instrumentalist), and Nate Keevil (Bass. Another talented multi-instrumentalist and familiar face to TKE-insiders) – the newest members of The Karma Effect family. We’ve been working closely with these incredible musicians for the past few months, and the chemistry has been nothing short of electric. There’s a renewed fire in the room, and we genuinely can’t wait for you all to feel it. What’s coming is something truly special. We’re heading into the studio at the end of the month to start tracking Album Three – and let us tell you, it feels like we’re about to make the record; the one we’ve always dreamed of. It’s bigger. It’s bolder. It’s louder, sleazier, funkier, and more soulful than anything we’ve done before. Classic rock bones, but with a 2025 heartbeat. With the insanely talented Michael Charman and Romesh Dodangoda on board, this record is set to be something truly timeless. The kind of album you didn’t know you were missing from your collection – until now. At the core of everything, it’s always been about you – our fans. Your belief in us, your energy at the shows, your messages and your patience… it means the world. We’re giving this album everything we’ve got, and we can’t wait to take it on the road next Spring and share it with you in the only way we know how – loud and live. But you know us, we are as impatient as you, so we will no doubt tease some new material at shows across the rest of the year. Thank you for sticking with us. This is a new chapter – and it’s going to be the best one yet. See you down the front.” Ash Powell, had this to add about his time with TKE, “Following the last tour, I made the incredibly difficult decision to step away from The Karma Effect. The last five years with the band have brought some of the best moments of my life. From writing and releasing two records that I’m incredibly proud of, including a UK Top 20 album, to playing unforgettable shows around the country and meeting so many amazing people along the way. I’ve cherished every second. Most of all, I got to experience it with my best friends, and I’ll always be thankful for that. Huge thanks to everyone who’s supported us over the years – I’ll always be grateful for the love.” While, Jamie Bull recently posted, “After an exceptional year of dirty and sweet rock ‘n’ roll, the mutual decision has been made for me to move on from The Karma Effect. I’ve been on two tours, done Christmas shows and some great festivals and can safely say that I’ve enjoyed every moment of it. I’m extremely proud to say I’ve been part of The Karma Effect story. Wishing Henry, Rob and the boys all the best going forward and with recording album number 3!” Liam Quinn added, “Playing with these guys was always a pleasure. I will always cherish the memories of the experiences I had and the achievements we made together. I love these guys and wish nothing but success for The Karma Effect. Thank you for everyone who supported us and helped me along the way. Thank you for allowing me to achieve a top 20 album, and allowing me to do it with some of my closest friends. This will never be forgotten and I’ll always be grateful.” You can see the new line-up in all its blazing glory at: SAT 06 Sept – Rockin The Bowl Festival, Sheffield SAT 13 Sept – Rock N Revel Festival, Alterbergen, DE SUN 14 Sept – Raismes Fest, Raismes, FR FRI 10 Oct – The Carlisle, Hastings FRI 22 Nov – Manchester (To Be Announced Soon) SUN 30 Nov – Planet Rockstock, Trecco Bay SAT 07 Feb 2026 – Rockmantic Weekender, The Brickyard, Carlisle https://thekarmaeffect.co.uk/live/
