Award-winning, Toronto-based, singer-songwriter Julian Taylor will be kicking off his UK tour tomorrow (Aug 22) in Shoreham-by-Sea. This 8-date tour consists of two festival appearances and six headline dates across the country. “UK friends I am looking forward to seeing you” says Taylor. “The tour starts this week. Every time I go I feel invigorated and have the most amazing band comprised of Michelle Stodart, Raevennen Husbands and Sian Monaghan.”
The tour follows today’s (Aug 21) release of the title track from Taylor’s brand new album Pathways, which is set for release on 27th September 2024 via his Howling Turtle, Inc. label. “I hope this song brings you hope” says Taylor. “The journey of life puts us all on our own respective pathways to find out who we are, and how we can strive to overcome any of the struggles we experience. Pathways is meant to be a letter from a person who’s gone through many experiences, and who’s trying to be there for someone else.”

Pathways, co-produced by Taylor with Colin Linden (Emmylou Harris, Bruce Cockburn, Blackie and The Rodeo Kings), mixed by Linden, and mastered by Greg Calbi, lays down the long, winding trail that leads its listeners toward finding their own personal zen amidst much internal discord.
In Taylor’s view, three words sum Pathways up perfectly. “It’s about righteousness, acceptance, and enlightenment,” Taylor explains. “On this record, I’m sharing in the struggles we all face, and I’m trying to make it better through these songs.”
